The synchronous motor is an AC motor that can be involved in many applications. With the complex configuration the mainly mechanism of synchronous electric motors have a rotational output speed that is exactly synchronized with the frequency of the AC cycles.

The internal operation synchronous motors consist of electromagnets on the stator that produces a magnetic field rotating with the line current. Next, the rotor will turn in step with this field, at the same rate.

The wide usages of synchronous motor can be divided into two ways: the large synchronous motor for industrial applications; the small one for electronic devices such as tape recorder, synchronous clocks and timers.
