Fiber identifiers
are handheld fiber optic test instruments for detecting optical signals
transmitted through a fiber without disrupting live traffic. They are used in
installation, maintenance, rerouting, or restoration to isolate a specific
fiber.
The OFI-400 is a
rugged, hand-held and easy-to-use fiber optic test instrument designed to
detect and measure the core power levels of optical signals on single-mode
optical fiber without disrupting raffic on that fiber. The OFI 400 C is designed and calibrated for use with
250µm, 900µm, ribbon, 2 mm
and 3mm jacketed
optical fibers.
The Noyes Fiber OFI
400 Optical Fiber Identifier detects signals transmitted through singlemode
fiber without disrupting traffic. This fiber optic tester features a
two-position head, multiple tone signal detection and set reference.
Measure/display fiber core or relative power on a backlit LCD during
installation, maintenance, rerouting or restoration.
